Research Paper Time :D I need some help….

so im writing a research paper on the idea of insanity in war and general fighting itself. more so in the great comical book Catch-22, and now i want to get some more sources to help my grade out. so here’s my question tumblr, why do you think people go insane, in daily life and in war. my thesis, if anyone wants to know, is; in the novel Catch-22 by Joseph Heller, the protagonist Yossairian proves that leaving and avoidinbg World War II can be much more dangerous and difficult that fighting the war itself. basically, why do people go crazy?
